PauseAI welcome email preview

This is the email a new supporter gets when they sign up on pauseai.info. Set their name, country and why they signed up (their intent) below to see what they'd get.

Most countries get one shared email, written by PauseAI Global in English or Spanish, with a short part about the local chapter where there is one. A few chapters write their own email instead (PauseAI Sverige, PauseAI UK, and PauseAI Canada for volunteers), and it replaces the shared text.

The chapter part lists your chapter's links, the same ones as on pauseai.info/national-groups. To change them, send the new ones to PauseAI Global.

Nothing here is sent to anyone, and no signup is created. It shows the same wording the real emails use.

Writing your chapter's own email

Translate the shared email or write your own from scratch (Copy text below copies the email shown). To read other chapters' own emails, pick a country marked “writes its own” below; if it names who the email is for, also set Intent to match.

You can send one email for everyone, or one for Volunteer / Lead and one for None / Act now. If you want, you can also write a separate email for each of the three intents.

We add these two lines to every chapter's own email. If you are writing in another language, please include your translation of them too:

  • To confirm your email address, click this link. If you didn't sign up, you can ignore this message.
  • If you opted in, we'll keep you posted. Either way, we may occasionally send you a critical alert.

In your email, please mention PauseAI Global's welcome calls for new volunteers and its Discord. If your email isn't in English, say that both are in English.

Your email uses the branded card layout unless you ask for the plain note. Compare them under Layout below.

The 21 countries whose chapter PauseAI Global connects new signups with. Any other country gets the shared email without a chapter part. The US isn't listed, because PauseAI US welcomes its own members.
What they picked on the sign-up form. Volunteer and Lead get the same email. Some chapters send the same email whatever the intent.
Language
Pick which version to preview. Volunteer / Lead signups get Spanish if they said they speak Spanish on the sign-up form or live in a Spanish-speaking country, and English otherwise.
Layout
Switch to compare the same words in both layouts. The shared email is always sent in the branded card.
This is the welcome email for people who want to volunteer, in English. It has no chapter part, as for any signup from a country not in the list above.

For developers

Uses the same renderer as /api/onboarding-email, which the Airtable onboarding automation calls; the copy and layout live in src/lib/server/onboardingEmail. This page is not linked from the site: it runs on localhost and Netlify deploy previews, and 404s on the production domain. Chapter data shown is public National Groups info, not PII.
